NURSING AID (CAREGIVER) TRAINING PROGRAM IN FINLAND

Program Information
- The nursing aide training program will prepare students for assisting positions in social and health care sector such as a nursing aide, care and rehabilitation assistant for elderly people in Finland.
- After completing the training, a nursing aide may work in an assisting role with a work pair or team. Positions are usually placed in nursing homes or in homes of the patients. The work requires good social skills and an interest in helping people with health problems to lead a meaningful life.
- The program is designed for students who already have a relevant background education and gained work experience in the field of social and health care.
- Average monthly wage for an entry level caterer/chef in Finland: about 2,500 Euro.
- Students are allowed to travel with children and spouse, who can work Fulltime.
- Course duration: 12 months (plus 4 months Preparatory online program while you prepare to travel).
- Course start date: November 4th 2024.
- Application deadline: May 26th, 2024.
Admission Requirements - WAEC or NECO Certificate & Transcript.
- Vocational qualification/ associate degree in Nursing/Social and Health Care awarded by a recognized education institute.
- Certificates accepted are as follows:
- TESDA Caregiving NC II.
- TESDA Health Care Services NC II.
- Students with associate degree in Nursing.
- Or a certificate by recognized institution in other country
- People with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing are not eligible to apply!!!
- International passport.
- Resume/CV and official work certificates.
- Motivation letter.
- Police character certificate.
Financial Information - Application fee: 100 Euro.
- Online Finnish language program: 495 Euro.
- Program fee: 7,950 Euro (payable in One Instalment).
- POF: 6,750 Euro (3 months)
- Health insurance: 200 Euro.
- Residence permit application fee: 350 Euros.
Application Process - Provide required documents and pay application fee (100 Euro) and Quickpath Education’s Commitment Fee.
- Attend online interview with our partner, Edunation. (Interview involves verifying academic qualifications, spoken English language proficiency, work experience and personal motivation for the program).
- After interview, school sends Acceptance Letter and invoice.
- You pay program fee, online Finnish language fee and agency processing fee.
- You gather documents for residence permit application, and Quickpath Education helps to apply for residence permit.
- You join online Finnish language program.
- You receive residence permit, complete Finnish language program, and travel to Finland.
Program Timeline - Application deadline: 26.05.2024.
- Last possible date for interviews: 06.06.2024.
- Acceptance letters/ offers sent by latest: 11.06.2024.
- Due date for all payments: 13.06.2024.
- Vocational training on campus: 04.11.2024 – 31.10.2025.
- Online language training starts: June/July – September/October 2024.
Note on Online Finnish Language Program - Program starts in June/July and ends in September/October 2024.
- Classes hold online three times per week, 60-90 minutes per class.
- You cannot miss class more than 4 times.
