VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATION IN RESTAURANT AND CATERING SERVICES (TOP-UP) IN FINLAND

Program Information

  • The program is designed for students who have a background education and work experience in the field of restaurant and catering services. NOTE: The work experience MUST be from a restaurant kitchen as a cook/chef
  • The program will prepare students for a career as a chef/cook in restaurant environment in Finland. Upon graduation, the student will receive vocational qualification in restaurant and catering services and ca work in this sector anywhere in Finland.
  • The average monthly wage for an entry level caterer/chef in Finland is about 2,800 Euro.
  • Students are allowed to travel with children and spouse, who can work fulltime.
  • Course duration: 14 months.
    Admission Requirements
  • WAEC or NECO Certificate & Transcript.
  • Certificate/Diploma of a completed Restaurant and Catering Services program (i.e. Cookery NC II) or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • International passport.
  • Resume/CV and official work certificates.
  • Age limit: from 18 up to 45 years old.
  • Course Start Date: November 4th 2024.
    Financial Information
  • Application fee: 100 Euro.
  • Online Finnish language program: 495 Euro.
  • Program fee: 11,650 Euro (payable in One Instalment). The fee includes tuition fee, the working uniform, set of chef’s knives and food on the days the students are preparing food as part of the studies.
  • POF: 6,750 Euro (3 months).
  • Health insurance: 200 Euro.
  • Residence permit application fee: 350 Euros.
    Application Process
  • Provide required documents and pay application fee (100 Euro) and Quickpath Education’s Commitment Fee.
  • Attend online interview with our partner, Edunation. (Interview involves verifying academic qualifications, spoken English language proficiency, work experience and personal motivation for the program).
  • After interview, school sends Acceptance Letter and invoice.
  • You pay program fee, online Finnish language fee and agency processing fee.
  • You gather documents for residence permit application, and Quickpath Education helps to apply for residence permit.
  • You join online Finnish language program.
  • You receive residence permit, complete Finnish language program, and travel to Finland.

  • Application deadline: 10.05.2024.
  • Interview dates: 30.01.2024, 27.02.2024, 28.03.2024 & 12.05.2024.
  • Acceptance letters/offers sent by latest: 15.05.2024.
  • Due date for all payments: 23.05.2024.
  • Online language training starts: 01.07.2024 – 01.11.2024.
  • Vocational training on campus: 04.11.2024 – 04.01.2026.
    Note on Online Finnish Language Program
  • Program starts in July 2024 and run for 16 weeks.
  • Classes hold online three times per week, 60-90 minutes per class.
  • You cannot miss class more than 4 times.
